Packet Pick-up

Pre-race packets will be available at on Friday, September 17 (8am-4pm) and Saturday, September 18 (9am-12pm). The pickup location is at:

Race day registration and packet pickup will begin at 3:30 at the City Island Carousel Pavilion.

About the Race

Competitors from across the region are invited to pick up the pace against prostate cancer at the 2010 Great Prostate Cancer Challenge® in Harrisburg, PA. It is a 5K Run and a 1 mile Fun Walk. Recognized for its scenic course and as a family event, Central Pennsylvania's "Great Prostate Cancer Challenge" is a professionally managed race that entices participants with generous gift bags, door prizes, live entertainment, and delicious food. Bring the whole family. There will be activities for all ages.

For the safety of our runners, we do not permit bikes, roller blades or pets on the course.

Timing

Timing and scoring will be done by Charm City Run, an event management company.

Weather Policy

Event will take place rain or shine. No refunds will be issued.

The course will start on City Island and progress around the island and across the Walnut Street Bridge over the Susquehanna River. Participants will proceed north along the river bank and turn around at the Sunken Gardens and head back to City Island. The finish line will be at the end of the Walnut Street Bridge on City Island.

Awards

Awards will be given to the top three males and females overall, plus the top three males and females in the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-19, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
