It’s time to DASH at the Inaugural Dash for Dad – South Bay on Saturday June 16th, 2012. This event will feature a 5k run and a 1 mile walk at beautiful Dockweiler Beach. Come Dash for Dad on Father’s Day weekend, random prizes, runner goodies and a good time for everyone.

Registration Fees:
- 5K Adult Early Registration through (June 15th) $30
- 5K Adult Race Day Registration $35
- 1 Mile Walk Adult Registration $30
- 5K or 1 Mile Student (Youth 17 & Under) Registration $15
(includes cotton T-shirt) - Family Registration (includes 2 adults and 2 youths) $80 (online registration only through June 15th)
Stroller Policy:
We believe that a fit family is a happy family and allow strollers on the course. If you are participating with a stroller, we do ask that you start in the back, do not weave through runners, and yield the right of way to runners. Bikes, roller blades and scooters are not permitted.
Pet Policy:
Pets are not allowed unless it is a service animal.

Top Male & Female Overall, Top Masters Male & Female, Top 3 Finishers in the following age groups: 11 & under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80 & Over.

Bring the Whole Family
This is a family event! We’ll have snacks, drinks and fun activities for all ages. Stroll, walk, or run, it’s your choice. Bring your dad in honor of Father’s Day!
Picking Up for Your Friends & Family:
We do allow runners to pick up Bibs and T-Shirts for their friends. Please note that T-Shirts cannot be mailed. You will not need to show us your ID or copies of their ID to pick up for others.

Course Map:
Timing & Scoring:
Chip/tag timing will be used at this event. You must wear a timing chip/tag to be timed and eligible for awards. Age group awards will be determined by chip time.
Hazardous Weather:
While every effort will be made to conduct the event, in the event of inclement weather, the start of the race may be delayed. Cancellation of the event due to hazardous weather will be determined by onsite officials. Entry fees will not be refunded.
Directions:
Directions: The Dash for Dad South Bay starts at the north end of Dockweiler Beach in Playa Del Rey. Playa Del Rey is north of Manhattan Beach and just south of Marina Del Rey.
From the Westside: Take Lincoln to Jefferson Blvd. Left on Culver Blvd. Left on Pershing Dr. Right on Imperial Hwy. Enter Dockweiler State Beach.
From 405: Merge onto 105 Westbound. Take to Beach. Drive straight into Dockweiler State Beach.
Parking cost $8.00
