Sherry Galloway, a ZERO Board Member lost her son who was diagnosed with advanced metastatic prostate cancer when he was 34 years old and passed two years later. Her son Jeremy was one of many men diagnosed before the age of 40 with no precipitating factors that would have lead his doctors to conduct early testing.
His only symptoms were low back and hip pain for several months. Sherry is committed to raising awareness through this Mothers Day weekend event because she is a mother of a son who did not win the fight against this disease and Sherry wants to help save other mothers from witnessing the slow, painful death of a child from prostate cancer. This disease has evolved to become the second biggest cancer killer of men, second only to lung cancer. The Jeremy Paster Great Prostate Cancer Challenge is a race for awareness; early detection is the key to successful treatment.

Awards will be presented to the Overall 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winner of both the 5K and 10K and the 1st place winner in the following age groups: 11 & Under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and 75 & Over.

Picking Up for Your Friends & Family:
We do allow runners to pick up bibs and t-shirts for their friends. Please note that t-shirts cannot be mailed. You will not need to show us your ID or copies of their ID to pick up for them.

The race will be chip timed.
Hazardous Weather:
While every effort will be made to conduct the event, the race will be canceled if the weather is judged to be hazardous to the safety of participants and spectators. Entry fees will not be refunded if the event is canceled.
