Brief Description:

It’s time Lace up your sneakers once again. Advanced Urology Specialists (formerly Central Florida Urology Specialists) and Advanced Prostate Cancer Institute have partnered with Zero-The Project to End Prostate Cancer to bring the Central Florida Dash for Dad back to the Villages area for the second straight year. The race will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Nationwide, a man dies from the disease every 18 minutes. But there is hope – education about prostate cancer risk and early detection can save countless lives. All proceeds from the race will go to prostate research and free testing in the Central Florida area to those at risk. The race will take place at 9am.

  • Chip Timed run/Walk Registration: $20 through November 12 $25 Nov 13 - Nov 18 $30 Day of Race (cash or check only)

Stroller Policy:

For safety reasons baby joggers, strollers, skates, bicycles and pets are not allowed on the race course. Headphones are discouraged.

Pet Policy:

Pets are not allowed on the race course.

Awards:

Awards will be given in the following categories: Top Male & Female overall, Top Masters Male & Female plus the top three males & females in the following age groups:14 & under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49,50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over. All participants receive a long sleeve performance shirt and swag bag filled with goodies from area businesses.

Timing & Scoring:

Chip timing will be done using the new Ultra disposable bib tag chip system. This is a state of the art chip that sticks to the back of your race bib and is disposable, so no chip collection once you cross the finish line.

The packet pick-up location directions: If your coming from HWY 301 turn at the traffic light onto 466. Turn Left at the next traffic light onto CR 103. Advanced Prostate Cancer Institute is located about 1/4 mile on the right. If you're coming off of I-75, get off at the 301 exit, head north on 301 approximately 8 miles until you come to 466. Turn right at the traffic light. Turn Left at the next traffic light onto CR 103. Advanced Prostate Cancer Institute is located about 1/4 mile on the right.

Volunteers:

We are looking for volunteers to assist with registration, gear check, on course water, split timing, course marshals, and finish line food and water. All volunteers will receive an event shirt for coming out and volunteering.
