Join Northeast indiana Urology for the first annual GPCC – Fort Wayne, a 5K Race to support ZERO — The Project to End Prostate Cancer. The GPCC is part of a national initiative designed to raise funds for prostate cancer research and community awareness during the month of September, National Prostate Cancer Awareness month. The race is part of the Great Prostate Cancer Challenge®, America’s Premier Men’s Health Event Series, taking place in 27 cities in 2011.

Registration includes your timing chip, long sleeve T-Shirt and pancake breakfast following the race.
Bring the Whole Family:
This event is particularly well suited for the entire family. Almost everyone knows someone who has been impacted by prostate cancer-fathers, brothers, uncles, grandfathers, sons and friends.
Pancake Breakfast:
There will be a pancake breakfast provided by Bob Evans following the race for all participants and volunteers and is included in the registration fee.
Stroller Policy:
This is a great race for the entire family and we allow strollers on our course.
Pet Policy:
Dogs must be on a leash.

Awards will be given to the Top 3 Prostate Cancer Survivors. Prizes will be given to the Top Male and Female Finishers in the following age groups: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 & Over

Race Day Registration:
Race Day Registration will be allowed but participants are encouraged to register on line by September 20th so that they can have their packets in advance.

Course Map:
The race is designed to allow runners to "spread out" in the first 3/4 mile to avoid congestion before entering the Rockhill Park pathway and through the Wildwood neighborhood.
Timing & Scoring:
This will be a timed race.
Hazardous Weather:
This race will take place rain or shine. In the event of cancellation due to sever weather, there will be no refunds or alternate date.
Directions:
- From the North and South, take Ardmore Ave. to Taylor St. and turn East.
- From West, take Taylor St. East from W. Jefferson Blvd, or go to Ardmore Ave. and then to Taylor St.
- From the East, take W. Jefferson Blvd West to Ardmore Ave., then South to Taylor St. and turn East; or West on Taylor St.
- Freeman St. will be closed off prior to the race. It's best to use Ardmore Ave. and Taylor St. to get to Portage Middle School.
