Join Urology of Central Pennsylvania for the GPCC – Harrisburg, a 5K Race to support ZERO — The Project to End Prostate Cancer. The GPCC is part of a national initiative designed to raise funds for prostate cancer research and community awareness during the month of September, National Prostate Cancer Awareness month. The race is part of the Great Prostate Cancer Challenge®, America’s Premier Men’s Health Event Series, taking place in 27 cities in 2011.

There is a $3.25 processing fee to register online.

5K Race:

1 Mile Walk:

Bring the Whole Family:

There will be activities for all ages on the evening of the race. A drawing of door prizes will be held among all participants. In addition to the beautiful city island attractions, there will be entertainment and plenty of treats for everyone.

Stroller Policy:

5K participants are not permitted to have strollers. Walkers will be allowed strollers. Bikes, roller blades and scooters are not permitted.

Pet Policy:

Participants are not allowed to have any pets while participating in the event or any event activities.

Course Map:

The course will start on City Island & cross the Walnut Street Bridge over the Susquehanna River. Participants will proceed north along the river bank & turn around at the Sunken Gardens & head back towards City Island. The finish line will be at the end of the Walnut Street Bridge on City Island.

Timing & Scoring:

The race will be timed based on the actual order in which the participant crosses the finish line. The race will not be utilizing chip timing.

Hazardous Weather:

Every effort will be made to conduct the event. It will be cancelled if the weather is judged to be hazardous to the safety of the participants. Entry fees will not be refunded.
